What are your thoughts concerning environmental issues, preservation, development, transparency in government, and data centers in Frederick County? Describe any priorities, tradeoffs, or concerns that guide your thinking.
Transparency in government can be improved by electing Representatives who answer to the citizens rather than the special interests. Frederick County has acted the opposite of virtually all Counties in Maryland with regard to Data Center development. Why? Development is going to happen and citizens readily share that with me. But they see a County that gets it wrong time and time again. We have to be more thoughtful and not always in a rush. We also need to focus on preservation in our designated PPAs and RLA. The biggest issues I see are the MPRP and Data Centers damaging our forests, streams and farm fields.
